Children’s follow-up
La Maison‘s mission is to welcome children in Massongex, transferred to Switzerland by various partners. Most of these children come from Africa and require surgery, mainly cardiac surgery. Our partners are responsible for caring for the children in their countries of origin and following up on their progress there.

Follow-up care for children operated before 2023, provided by the Terre des hommes Foundation based in Lausanne
The Terre des hommes Lausanne Foundation (www.tdh.ch), a former partner organisation of the Terre des hommes Valais Foundation from 1963 to 2022, considers that it has a responsibility towards the children who underwent surgery during those years. For this reason, it has set up a structure to take charge of monitoring these cases. Some essential operations may be carried out in Senegal or Morocco, others in Switzerland. Each situation is different.
